Our Story

Well, I would have to say that it has been well over due since I have sat down here and put anything together for the site, give anyone an update, or even got online for that matter.  This week if everything goes as planned I will be updating wordpress, all the plugins, and playing catchup a little on some of the post that I have to put on the site yet I have not taken the time to sit down and put them online.

Other than that all is going well here, just a little busy from time to time, but the work is never done.  I will see if we can make things a little more usable and interactive when I go thru and get things updated.  I have noticed some of the links on my nice little template dont work right because of some oversights on my part.  We will be fixing issues like that while I am at it.

Well, it has been a little while since I have sat down and give an update of what is going on here.  I figured since it is well off into the night, and I have a little more time to work on it, I might as well do that right now.

Well for starters, everything appears to be going well.  The family is doing well and nothing major trying to keep distract us.  Since the last time I posted an update, we went to a few revival meetings, and got to hear alot of amazing preaching take place.  From the time we started the meetings, until the last one took place, we had a meeting, prayer, preaching, and some awesome musical worship hours for 15 straight days.  We never really stopped and thought about it until one night while we was making our way back to the house it was pointed out that we had done so.  It is amazing to see how god works in every aspect of our lifes, and how he can make time, when there is still only 24 hours in a given day.  With the kids going to school, and myself working all day, you would think there was little time to get cleaned up, ready, and then travel anywhere from 15 minutes, to 3 hours to goto church.  However, we made it happen with all five of us.

During that time, we got to meet alot of different people, and enjoy fellowship with many individuals of like faith.  It just amazes me how God takes the time to put his stamp of approval on each and every person that walks the face of this earth, while at the same time creating each one of us to be our own individual self, and no one person made the exact same as another.  At times I catch myself thinking about everything God has done for us, and all the promises that he has made us in his word.  The problem is I cant wrap my mind around it all and let it all soak in.

I have been praying about taking a pastoral theology course for some time now.  I finally took the time to get ahold of the information for the course, and within the next few weeks I hope to have started the classes.  Joshua Baptist Bible Institute has an awesome course study for doing so, and the price so we will take this route and see what springs fourth from it.  Over all, the courses, books, fees, and graduation expenses will total about $3500.00 and take about two years to complete if all goes as planned.

I have also done a little work to My Space, I wanted to remove everything but was was really important to have there.  I got the majority of it removed, and might remove more as time goes on.  You can add me to your friends list there if you would like, or you can just check out the space and see what all was changed up.  Let me know if you have any problems with it and we will work to get them changed and working.

I would ask that you keep the family and me in your prayers when you take time out of your day to speak with your maker.  If you dont currently make time daily, I would like to encourage you to do so.  He has done amazing things for you and me, and his mercy and grace still provide in everything we do.  The least that we could do for Him is to follow His commandments, and seek His face daily.

God is unchangeable. God’s word is unchangeable too. In Matthew 24:35, the Lord Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
Why then are we so ready to accept changes to God’s word in the form of different Bible versions? The Authorized King James text has faithfully served the body of Christ for almost 400 years. During this time, and during its translation, Satan has viciously and relentlessly attacked it. I now hear Christians attacking it too! I’ve heard preachers and lay people say things like, “it’s too hard to read” or “it doesn’t properly reflect the true meaning of the original Greek”. The issue about the original Greek sets my teeth on edge–which Greek? There are Greek manuscripts galore, including the corrupted manuscripts that the Roman Catholic religion uses. The snide remarks and attacks against this utterly reliable text are unfounded.
We must remember that the Bible is a spiritual book and is understandable to those who are led by God’s Spirit. It is not possible for the natural man to understand it [I Corinthians 2:14], hence paraphrasing or simplifying it will do no good. The Bible is not supposed to read like a fairy tale–Peter said, “for we have not followed cunningly devised fables” [II Peter 1:16]. The words of the Authorized King James are not laborious to me, they are beautiful and full of God’s power. Even the world knows it–the Authorized King James has been listed on Norton Anthology’s list of “the world’s best literature” for decades.
The new versions have come up with some dangerous changes to the scriptures. The Lord God gives us stern warnings about changing His Word,
Revelation 22:18-19, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Proverbs 30:5-6, Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Look at this change in the NIV:
John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son…
The authorized King James says,
John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son.
In this instance, the NIV changes the scriptures by saying that Jesus is God’s “one and only” Son instead of His only begotten Son. This change causes a contradiction in the word of God because God has more than one son according to both the King James (Genesis 6:2, Job 1:6, John 1:12) and NIV (Genesis 6:2).
I do not buy the line that the inerrant word of God is found only in the originals– which nobody has. I know that God has the power to preserve His word and that he wouldn’t leave us out in the dark with an “imperfect” translation. In the authorized King James Version God assembled, and moved with His Spirit, a team of some of the world’s best scholars to translate His word into the world’s most popular language, English.
The complete translator’s notes of the Authorized King James scholars are not included in today’s publishings. This is unfortunate because these notes say a lot about these men– they were humble, loved the word of God, loved the King, were berated by the Catholic religion, and they desired a translation for the common man who was kept in darkness. Some of the translators where killed for their faith. This book was forged in blood, sweat, and tears.
I’ve heard folks make a big to-do about the italics in the Authorized KJV. Well, unlike many of today’s translators, the authorized KJV translators let us know which words they had to add in translating in order to give the full meaning of the original text (these are the words in italics in the KJV). Other translators have added words too–but they don’t tell you what they’ve added. I speak a little Spanish and know that it is oftentimes necessary to rearrange or add words so that the translation makes sense. These men went through the extra trouble of identifying which words they added. That’s real scholarship and integrity.
Let’s fall in love with the Authorized KJV again and stand on it. Let’s get down to business and read the Word and stop spending so much time reading what others have to say about the Word in commentaries, Greek lexicons, study bibles, etc. We want the Holy Ghost to talk to us.
How many classes have you been in where every student has a different textbook? None. It just doesn’t make good sense on a very practical level. We all need to be on the same sheet of music so that we are in harmony. Let’s us not confuse our kids by teaching/preaching from the NKJV, NIV, NASV, LB, the Message, Phillips, GN, etc.
Let’s not accept the premise that the tried and true Authorized King James is somehow outdated and is to be replaced by dozens of new translations. A standard test determined the Authorized KJV reading level to be 5th grade because it contains mostly one and two-syllablic words making it one of the easiest to read. People have been getting saved by reading it for a long, long time. We know that it contains the Word of life whereby we live and grow.
Satan knows that in a generation we won’t uniformly quote the scriptures. Imagine ten people with ten different translations trying to recite a psalm together. Confusion. Satan knows that many newborn babes in Christ will not have the real milk that they need in order to grow because they’ll have a watered down version of the truth. He figures that if he can’t kill the babes, he’ll do the next best thing-stunt their growth. At the same time the world will point to Christianity and say, “They don’t even have a definitive word of God. Anybody can write a Bible.” They already say that the Bible was “just written by men”.
Being able to talk to a child of God and have our spirits commune on the parts of God’s word that we’ve memorized is great. I now find people who are quoting scriptures that I know, but they are worded so differently that I have to ask the reference. This is confusion, and we know who authors confusion, the enemy of our souls, the Devil. I believe that the emergence of these many different “Bible” versions is Satan’s most successful attempt to attack God’s word. The Bible says that in the last days there’s going to be a falling away of the church and I believe that these other versions are helping to usher it along.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Web Hosting prices were updated today. The update was made to give more disk space, and high quality hosting, while keeping the prices as low as possible. If you have any other questions or comments, don’t hesitate to ask.

I would like to start out by saying THANK YOU to all of you that have been giving us your prayers. We can always use prayer with each and everything we do, because prayer is what get’s us thru all the time. I don’t always have all the answers, but I know the one that holds tomorrow in his hands. When I talk to God I am able to see what steps to do next. Some times he will show me more of the plan than others, but I still get the picture of which way to go next

I don’t always understand the reason behind things, nor could I probably handle the true answers if I asked and got the answer. Never the less I can see God working Each and every day in my life, to get my family where we need to be for him. We have got the road map started, but we don’t have an ending to it. We are not sure how much of the map will be shown before we get to leave the starting point, but we will just keep praying about it and let you all know as it comes available.

There are many untold stories about this mission that we have not shared with anyone, that we must cross to get to the next point, and God is working these things right out in front of us, and it is amazing to be able to see his hand working in our lives. There is a number of things that still need to be put into play, and a couple other things that have to happen before we can leave down that map that is being created. I know that these things have to be done first because God would not have us leave anything undone to the point that it would mistreat others in our leaving this area.

We will continue to steadfast in this regardless of what waves come in, or how many tides hit the shores. We will continue to pray that Gods will be done in our lives, and ask that you would do the same. My hope is that we will be able to do great things for the Lord here and Gods light shine thru us in the community before we ever depart from here.

As the month draws to the end, we prepare for the next, in hopes that each passing month only gets larger and stronger. I would like to ask you to keep us in your prayers as you go thru out your days, and we will keep you in ours just the same. If you would like to have us praying for you or anyone else, simply fill out and submit the form on the prayer request page. We do not collect or share information that is shared with us, we use it to post your request and nothing more.

Thank You and God Bless

It has been a few days since I have posted anything so I figured that I would let you know what was going on. We finally give in and accepted the calling around 1PM on the 13th, and decided that we would do our part to get it rolling. We talked to our preacher that night and informed him of what we had felt and such. We kicked it around all week trying to find out the details, and get an understanding of what to do first, and where to get started. In doing so everyone here at the house has come down sick, within a day or so of one another. Since we have three kids here it left us cleaning up a mess all the time. The only thing I could think of was “What if we had already packed up everything and was in the car or trailer this week?” I quickly realized that this was just part of the devils plan to keep us of course.
In Mark Jesus cursed the fig tree saying “No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever.” In the morning peter saw the fig tree dried up from the roots, and said to Jesus “Master, behold, that fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.” Instantly you think this happened because it is Jesus? However, Jesus went on to tell Peter, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Well, in Mathew Jesus says “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
I happen to be reading this set of scripture at the end of this last week, and decided we would put this to work in my own life, right here and right now. What a difference it makes. I think that the problem with America today is the fact that the majority of Christian’s prayers never make it past the ceiling. Sounds kind of harsh being said this way, but stop and do a reality check with you for a minute. Ask yourself how many times you have spent your prayer time begging for Gods will to be done in a situation. Then, ask yourself how many times you left your prayer time knowing that it was already taken care of? In reality we pray for things to be taken care of, and then have some doubt that it will not be taken care of 100% or it just will not be taken care of fast enough. Can I ask you who knows the future? So, would he not know how fast it needs to be done, or how long he has to get the job done?
After reading and thinking of these two paragraphs, I realized that we just needed to keep pressing toward the mark that God has set before us. There is no need to waste time doing the so called “Figure it out” game. It has never helped me figure out anything other than, Jesus knows best. We got up from our sick spells, and got back on track with what needed to be done. There are still many things that I don’t have answers for, and the wife knows as well as I do, we will just have to live on faith alone, and everything will work out as it was planned. I don’t know what tomorrow holds but, I know someone that is already there, and He will make provisions for my family and me when we get there, and need it. It might not always be easy, and we might not always have everything that we want. However, I know many people me included that don’t have everything they want, even now. I am certain that we will have everything that we need, and maybe even some of our wants.

Well today we received the Rosetta Stone Software. It looks good, runs nice and is well worth its money. With software like this I might just learn one language a year until I know enough to speak to everyone I can. I can’t stress to you how good it is and how valuable it is when you are trying to learn another language. You simply act as a baby would. Don’t speak the language, can’t write the language, but when you see the picture, you know what it is saying. As time goes on you can read the language and know what picture it is talking about and you can even speak the language and know if it is right or wrong before it is all said and done.
You know there are still hundreds of languages that don’t have a bible in there known language? It is hard for me to believe that, knowing that here in America you can go down to the local wal-mart in most cities and pickup a bible off the book shelf. The sad fact is that they don’t have a bible, and they don’t have anyone there to tell them about the Lord, or what he done for them on Cavalry.
It makes me want to do more every time I think about it. The fact is that I am just one person, and I can only do what God has allowed me to do. The Harvest truly is Great, and The Laborers Are very Few. We need more people to open up there hearts and do that which the Lord Jesus Christ has called them to do. The time to act is now, and the people we need to reach are everywhere.

We have decided to follow the Lord and put a trust in Him that His word will provide for my family as we follow. I will tell you that it is not always easy to do what is right. However, God has never asked us to go anywhere or do anything that He has not or will not provide the provisions.

We sat down with the Preacher tonight and informed him of the good news. We will also go before the church and let them know what we are called to do, and give the church as a whole the ability to pray for us as we get started on this narrow path. We will remain open and available to be use of God.

My major fear is that I have not learned enough, or I am not good enough to be used of our Lord. However, the Lord just wants available and willing souls and so I should be able to do something to help get others into the Kingdom. I am sure that our preacher has taught us well, and has helped us to learn the bible well. We just need to continue to grow in the Lord.

To stop and think of what we are being asked to do, it is exciting as well as scary. It is not every day that people just up and leave everything to go to another country, while at the same time dragging there little ones with them. Here in America we are spoiled to having things our way, and in our time frame. This is probably the biggest reason that we don’t have more people going to the mission field than we do right now. We have everything that we want and need, and the Lord has blessed us with everything we need, and many things that we want. Since He has given us all these things, we figure we don’t need God anymore since we got almost everything anyway.

I don’t mind change, change can be good. When it comes to my family, I don’t want to change anything up, or take away the stable environment that I have setup to provide for them. I think that the main reason for this is because I don’t like to leave them without. I don’t want to see them hurt for things, or need things they can’t get. I know that if God wants us to go, he will provide a way by which we will get there, and when we get there he will provide a way by which we can live. The very nature of things tell me that I still need to worry if it don’t look like we will have enough food to eat, or if we don’t have the funds to continue to where we are going, or to get back to that which we come from. God has taken care of us thus far and I am sure that he will continue to do so as long as we continue to do His will for our life.

This will probably not be the easiest thing in life to do but, let’s face the facts for a second, life is not always easy. Life is more so just like a bed of roses, sometimes you have to get pricked by the thorns to get a hold on the whole rose.

When you knock doors here in America you are lucky if they will listen to you for more than a minute, which that is if they even answer the door. When you go to other countries you find thousands upon thousands that want to hear the word, and receive the gift of life. Numbers will encourage many to continue and will make you feel as if your actually performing good works. However, if here in America you can reach just 1 more you are doing just as great of work for the Lord. The difference in the two will be found in the heart of the people performing the works.

As long as we have the Lord on our side, and we are following his will for our life, then we will be happy and rejoice regardless of the outcome. Philippians 4:4 commands us to Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! That don’t mean just in the good times, it is talking about the bad times as well.

The main focus for this site is how to follow Jesus according to His word. There is a number of things that will come to the site, we will use them to help or guide your relationship with Jesus.

Just so we are all on the same page, and have a good understanding of this material, ALL scripture on this site will be KJV. It is the only TRUE English version. When you change, move, or alter the words, they no longer mean the same thing. To keep with the true word of Christ, it’s meaning, and context KJV is the only way to go.

In the September of 2007 my wife and I felt the Lord leading us down a path. At first we did not want to believe that we was being called for such great works, we thought that we would just ignore it and it would all go away. We quickly found out that it was Jesus trying to get us on His path for our life.

We are listening to Jesus for His directions for our life, and we know what He has for us to do in the future. He still has yet to place us into his work, we have recieved the calling, and we are preparing to enter the narrow gate and follow the narrow path within

I think it’s beneficial for me to begin this now so that people can see the process and perhaps learn from it. There are a lot of practicalities to the process, money (probably being the foremost issue), family, ability, how-to, etc. I have gone through many of these and I think it’s important to be transparent and walk through it openly.
