Well, I would have to say that it has been well over due since I have sat down here and put anything together for the site, give anyone an update, or even got online for that matter.  This week if everything goes as planned I will be updating wordpress, all the plugins, and playing catchup a little on some of the post that I have to put on the site yet I have not taken the time to sit down and put them online.

Other than that all is going well here, just a little busy from time to time, but the work is never done.  I will see if we can make things a little more usable and interactive when I go thru and get things updated.  I have noticed some of the links on my nice little template dont work right because of some oversights on my part.  We will be fixing issues like that while I am at it.

Well, It has been a few weeks since I have looked at the website, and even longer since I have posted anything new to the site. I sat down today and noticed that the video’s and sermons that I had posted to the site had been moved, and were no longer working correctly. I am in the process of adding them back to the site so that you can view them once again. I am thinking about leaving the audio files off, and just using the Media player files so that you can view them. This will allow us to place more content on the site, and make better use of the space. I dont notice any of the audio files being used while the video files are used often. I will also be adding 5 or 6 new ones to the site as well so keep checking for them.

Well, it has been a little while since I have sat down and give an update of what is going on here.  I figured since it is well off into the night, and I have a little more time to work on it, I might as well do that right now.

Well for starters, everything appears to be going well.  The family is doing well and nothing major trying to keep distract us.  Since the last time I posted an update, we went to a few revival meetings, and got to hear alot of amazing preaching take place.  From the time we started the meetings, until the last one took place, we had a meeting, prayer, preaching, and some awesome musical worship hours for 15 straight days.  We never really stopped and thought about it until one night while we was making our way back to the house it was pointed out that we had done so.  It is amazing to see how god works in every aspect of our lifes, and how he can make time, when there is still only 24 hours in a given day.  With the kids going to school, and myself working all day, you would think there was little time to get cleaned up, ready, and then travel anywhere from 15 minutes, to 3 hours to goto church.  However, we made it happen with all five of us.

During that time, we got to meet alot of different people, and enjoy fellowship with many individuals of like faith.  It just amazes me how God takes the time to put his stamp of approval on each and every person that walks the face of this earth, while at the same time creating each one of us to be our own individual self, and no one person made the exact same as another.  At times I catch myself thinking about everything God has done for us, and all the promises that he has made us in his word.  The problem is I cant wrap my mind around it all and let it all soak in.

I have been praying about taking a pastoral theology course for some time now.  I finally took the time to get ahold of the information for the course, and within the next few weeks I hope to have started the classes.  Joshua Baptist Bible Institute has an awesome course study for doing so, and the price so we will take this route and see what springs fourth from it.  Over all, the courses, books, fees, and graduation expenses will total about $3500.00 and take about two years to complete if all goes as planned.

I have also done a little work to My Space, I wanted to remove everything but was was really important to have there.  I got the majority of it removed, and might remove more as time goes on.  You can add me to your friends list there if you would like, or you can just check out the space and see what all was changed up.  Let me know if you have any problems with it and we will work to get them changed and working.

I would ask that you keep the family and me in your prayers when you take time out of your day to speak with your maker.  If you dont currently make time daily, I would like to encourage you to do so.  He has done amazing things for you and me, and his mercy and grace still provide in everything we do.  The least that we could do for Him is to follow His commandments, and seek His face daily.

The other day, someone at a store in town read that a Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question, “Why didn’t we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?

I replied, I had a drug problem when I was young: I was drug to church on Sunday morning.  I was drug to church for weddings and funerals.  I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.

I was drug to by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults.  I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of the teacher or the preacher, or if I didn’t put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.

I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if I uttered a profanity.  I  was drug out to pull weeds in mom’s garden and flower beds and cockle-burs out of dad’s fields.  I was drug to the homes of family, friends, and neighbors to help out some poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline, or chop some firewood, and if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime as a tip for this kindness she would have drug me back to the woodshed

Those drugs are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, or think.  They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin.  If today’s children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a better place,

God bless the parents who dragged us.

Vicar of Christ.
A substitute Christ…
“For the Roman pontiff (pope), by reason of his office as VICAR OF CHRIST, and as pastor of the entire Church has full, supreme, and universal POWER over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise UNHINDERED.”

“We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely NECESSARY FOR the SALVATION of every human creature to be SUBJECT TO THE ROMAN PONTIFF (POPE).”

–POPE BONIFACE VIII, BULL UNUN SANCTUM, 1302

…the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4
…and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. Revelation 17:8
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies… Revelation 13:4-5

I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another… Isaiah 42:8

“…We declare, state and define that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of all human beings that they submit to the Roman Pontiff [pope].”

“Neither is there salvation in any other [than Jesus]: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5

“It is the bounden duty of every Christian to pray against Antichrist, and as to what Antichrist is no sane man ought to raise a question. If it be not the Popery in the Church of Rome there is nothing in the world that can be called by that name. It wounds Christ, robs Christ of His glory, puts sacramental efficacy in the place of His atonement, and lifts a piece of bread in the place of the Saviour….If we pray against it, because it is against Him, we shall love the persons though we hate their errors; we shall love their souls, though we loathe and detest their dogmas….”

” Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” 1 John 2:18

“When we went to the Vatican, all the Catholic kids were awestruck. The pope’s throne was so high it almost seemed to reach the ceiling. It looked like Satan’s seat.”
“That’s because it is Satan’s seat, my dear sister.”
A conversation between an 18 year old non-Bible-scholar and the author.

Revelation 13:2 … and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Catholic Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, is an exorcist and the author of the book, Face to Face With the Devil. Archbishop Milingo gave a speech entitled, “Satanists at work in the Vatican” at the Fatima 2000 International Congress on World Peace held in Rome 11/18/96-11/23/96. Mr. Milingo addressed an international audience of bishops, priests, nuns, and laity. Excerpts of the speech were reported in the Winter 1997 issue of The Fatima Crusader, a conservative pro-Marian Catholic newsletter that hosted the Fatima 2000 Congress and the 3/3/97 issue of The New American–
This Bent Crucifix is “… a sinister symbol, used by Satanists in the sixth century, that had been revived at the time of Vatican Two. This was a bent or broken cross, on which was displayed a repulsive and distorted figure of Christ, which the black magicians and sorcerers of the Middle Ages had made use of to represent the Biblical term ‘Mark of the Beast’. Yet, not only Paul VI, but his successors, the two John-Pauls, carried that object and held it up to be revered by crowds, who had not the slightest idea that it stood for anti-Christ.” (p. 72) On page 56 Compton prints a picture of the current Pope, John Paul II, holding this bent or broken cross.

“The inverted cross is a blaspheme
or mockery of the Christian cross.”

According to Exposing Satanism, the “Upside Down Cross - Symbolizes mockery and rejection of Jesus. Necklaces are worn by many satanist’s. It can be seen on Rock singers and their album covers.”

A self-professed Satanist says– The Baphomet is the official symbol of the Church Of Satan, but many Satanists use the inverted cross to symbolize their dislike of Christianity. It’s modern meaning has came to mean “anti-Christian” and it is used and recognized as such in today’s world…

The following definition comes from the book, “Brave New Schools” by Berit Kjos—INVERTED CROSS: Represents Satanism and its mockery of Christ.
The following excerpt came from the Ozzy Osbourne Biography/FAQ (3/2000)
The record company chose to put an upside down cross on the gatefold of the album and thus people readily associated the band (Black Sabbath) with Satanism. The band knew nothing about this and did not want the upside down cross, however they backed down from the record company’s “wiser and higher” marketing methods.
Having established the Satanic nature of the inverted (upside down) cross, please view the following picture.

“….The pope got off his death bed for this event..that upside down cross is a message to every single freemason/satanist/Lucifer worshipping….freak…that the show is on….Satan has been welcomed into the Holy land…..get ready for a false prophet!”

“The pope sits on the altar at Korazim. The backdrop depicts Christ with an open book that reads, ‘Love your enemies, I will come soon.’ ”

Yes, the Beast of Revelation chapter 13 and his false prophet are going to manifest for the final showdown very soon. But what does the pope mean when he talks about his enemies? WHO are the supposed enemies of the Catholic Christ, of the anti-Christ?

Bible believing Christians that know the true, Christ.
The Christ of the Bible.
They expose Satan and his Antichrist.

Through the study of church history we discover that the majority of those Protestant churches that were started during, and as a result of, the 16th Century Reformation were formed as an effort to have and maintain pure doctrine from the Word of God in their worship.

Men such as Martin Luther were certainly great men of God, who stood firmly for the Word of God regardless of the terrible persecution they received. Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin, and John Wesley were bold servants of the Lord who helped in leading the reform of the Christian church back to the fundamental teachings of the Word of God.

However, the doctrines taught when the various denominations were STARTED are not necessarily the doctrines taught in these same denominations today. There have been many splits branching from the main denominations, and it is difficult to correctly “label” a particular doctrine as being taught by any entire denomination for this reason.

To those churches and those pastors who have remained true to the Word of God despite the tremendous pressures put upon them by Satan, men, and organizations, we say PRAISE GOD!

It is our desire for you, as a soul-winner, to be able to recognize false doctrine whenever you hear it, and to know how to present the truth of that doctrine in an effective way. Often the errors will have a bearing on salvation, and thus are of vital importance.

It isn’t our purpose to try to “knock” or degrade any particular church or denomination. Perhaps other churches bearing the same name would teach the doctrine correctly. It isn’t even necessarily beneficial for you to connect automatically a certain error with a certain church, because the error may or may not be taught by a particular minister; also, the error may vary in form or degree from one church to another.

As an ambassador for Christ you should never take for granted that a person knows the Lord as his Saviour. Because he is a member of your church, a Baptist church, Methodist, Presbyterian, or Lutheran church, is no guarantee that he is saved.

In Paul’s farewell address to the elders of the Ephesian church he told them, “I have not shunned to declare unto you ALL the counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). He then mentions that it is their duty, as Christian leaders, to FEED the flock and to WARN the flock, “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock” (verse 29). If you are in the position of leadership among Christians, not only is it your responsibility to build the believers up through the Word, but it is also your divinely-appointed task to WARN those in your care of FALSE DOCTRINE.

The Apostle Peter also spoke of the danger of false doctrine, taught by false teachers: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And MANY shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the WAY OF TRUTH shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with FEIGNED WORDS make merchandise of you…” (2 Peter 2:1-3).

Paul warned, “Now I beseech you, brethren, MARK them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the DOCTRINE which ye have learned; AND AVOID THEM” (Romans 16:17). You are not to: accept their sponsorship… you and your message are God-sponsored; or accept their money… God will take care of your financial needs; or have them on your platform… for what fellowship have you with Satan?; or support their schools… you would be perpetuating their errors; or send converts to their churches… babes in Christ need the WORD!

The Bible is unmistakably clear on this subject. “Be ye NOT unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial(Satan)? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?” (2 Corinthians 6:14, 15)

This verse isn’t speaking about people who don’t believe in God. It is speaking of those that do not believe that God took on flesh and made a complete payment for their sin. And verse 17 says, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye SEPARATE, saith the Lord…”

I’m sure you know Christians who, every time they hear a new preacher, say… “My, wasn’t he WONDERFUL?” The preacher may have been off on salvation, messed up the invitation, misused any number of Scriptures; yet if he was humorous, quoted from famous men, or spoke with words so large you couldn’t understand what he was saying, many people would think his message was WONDERFUL. The people may have been so taken by his “sincerity and spiritual tones” or his “vivid illustrations and sentimental stories” that they did not stop to see if this man’s MESSAGE was true to the Word of God!

Scripture exhorts us “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro and carried about with EVERY WIND OF DOCTRINE, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.” What is a believer to do when he hears something taught that does not “ring clear” to him? How can we know what is Scriptural and what is not?

“STUDY to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING the Word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for DOCTRINE, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Compare SCRIPTURE with SCRIPTURE, not preacher with preacher! “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation” (2 Peter 1:20). Scofield’s note says this means it is “not isolated from all that the Word has given elsewhere.” To understand the Bible properly, you must compare all the verses given on the subject under consideration. This takes study. As a soul-winner, you should know the Bible well enough to know IMMEDIATELY when you hear something contrary to God’s plan of salvation.

“Neo-evangelicals” call those preachers who don’t quite preach salvation the way the Bible says, “fringe friends.” Have you read Galatians 1:8 recently? Did it say, “But though we, or an angel from heaven preach ANY other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be a fringe friend”? No! God uses strong language because that is how He feels about the matter. God says, “let him be ACCURSED.”

Please at this time go back to Chapter Seven and reread the reasons given for Galatianism being an accursed message.

It is a tragedy… but many Protestant churches today do not even believe the Bible is the Word of God. Some would say the Bible “becomes” the Word of God as an individual comes into “contact” with Christ. Others say the Bible “contains” the Word of God. Others come right out and admit that they do not believe the Bible is any more the Word of God than is the Koran or the Book of Mormon. They teach that any book a person finds uplifting to his soul, that book is inspired of God to him.

Around the time of 1910-1930, “Fundamentalism” or “Orthodoxy” was strong. This school stood for the Bible as the completely inerrant and inspired Word of God. R. A. Torrey, J. Gresham Machen, Robert Dick Wilson, and Benjamin Warfield—great defenders of the faith—were “Fundamentalists” of their day.

In time men arose, writing and speaking of their complete disbelief in the Bible as the Word of God, representing the left-wing, liberal theology of the day.

There was no spirit of cooperation among the “Fundamentalists” and the “Liberals” because their positions were (and are) complete opposites. The Bible tells us not to have company with those who deny the Word of God.

Today the problem seems to be with the ministers who take a position somewhere in-between the Orthodox and Liberal position. This school is called “Neo-evangelicalism.”

Dr. Charles J. Woodbridge, church historian and beloved expositor of the Word, made a study of Neo-evangelicalism and gave us much of the information presented here. The following four points are taken from his lecture delivered to the Florida Bible College student body in 1963. (The reason we go into all this detail in a book on personal evangelism is that so many dear, Christian people today do not even see the dangers of this Neo-evangelicalism—they do not see that the ideas supported by it are the cause of many people being blinded to the plan of salvation.)

1. There is a new attitude of scholars. Perhaps influenced by liberalism (while they received their education), they now have an emphasis on LOVE rather than on sound DOCTRINE. This sounds beautiful, but Scripture says believers are not to make common cause with the enemy. Love is no substitute for truth.

2. There is a new method. The ministers of this school have convinced themselves that the “end justifies the means.” They feel free to use any method, as long as their goal is all right. But the Scripture teaches us to act “princip’ially” (Dr. Woodbridge’s coined word) and leave the results with God. We should never do evil that good may come.

Moses disobeyed God in smiting the Rock in a way not prescribed by God. Did the water come out? God overruled Moses’ sin by His grace to meet the needs of the people.

Some would ask us, as they have asked Dr. Woodbridge, “Don’t you want to see souls saved?” And our answer is the same. OF COURSE we want to see souls saved. But we should do God’s will GOD’S WAY if we are to receive God’s full approval of what we are doing. Noah preached for 120 years. How many souls did he lead to the Lord? Only seven? He left the results with God—Noah’s job was to preach what the Lord had TOLD him to preach.

Our responsibility is to make the gospel clear and understandable to the lost. God wants us to be FAITHFUL with His message (1 Corinthians 4:2). We can plant and water all we want to, but it is still God who gives the increase. Actually, “soulwinning” is a misnomer. We do not win the soul. God does this. We just give out the message.

3. There is a new theology. Those adhering to this Neo-evangelical theology often are the ones who are saying evolution and the Bible are compatible. Among them are those who deny the inspiration of 2 Peter, Esther, and parts of Genesis. They want to “re-define” inspiration.

As Dr. Woodbridge said, “How can you redefine ‘holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost’? Would you say:

  1. holy means ‘unholy’
  2. men means ‘women’
  3. of God means ‘of the devil’
  4. spake means ’sang’?” etc.

Either the Bible is the Word of God, or the Bible is a complete hoax. THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND!

4. There is a new ethic. It allows the people to pretty much choose their own moral system. If it makes you happy, it must be all right. The Bible says, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 16:25). There is no getting around “whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

This Neo-evangelicalism is getting more and more popular across America today. Fewer and fewer pastors seem to realize its danger. It is fast becoming the “mode” of 20th Century Protestantism. Some independent, fundamental churches are awake. Perhaps more and more ministers within the framework of denominations will become awake… if you will faithfully give out the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you will study the Word so that you can “give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you,” you will be doing much to stem the tide of Modernism.

Intricately interwoven into the fiber of modern-day Protestantism is what has become known as the Ecumenical Movement, and, as a soul-winner, you need to know how this movement is keeping the unsaved from trusting Christ as their Saviour.

The Ecumenical Movement is dangerous, first of all, because of its FALSE DOCTRINES. At the core of ecumenism is found the basic belief of the “brotherhood of man” and the “Fatherhood of God.” When a person believes that all people are brothers and that God is already the Father of everyone, he does not see his need of a Saviour.

Because of this, evangelism has become “passé” to an ecumenist. In its place is substituted the “social gospel” which is aimed at improving society in general, rather than at the salvation of souls.

Another danger of ecumenism is that it CONFUSES people, even many saved people, into thinking that nothing can be really wrong that talks so much about “love” and “brotherhood.” But love that leaves out TRUTH is not love. It is a counterfeit with no power to save or satisfy. Any teaching that is concerned only with man and his condition here on earth, with little or no concern for man’s future destiny, is not true to God’s Word and is not fulfilling Christ’s last and most important command to “preach the gospel to every creature.”

Avid ecumenists are growing in number throughout the various Protestant denominations and even including much of the Catholic Church. Obviously, almost 100% of these people are lost, without Christ as their personal Saviour. They are trying to do good by their brotherly kindness, and the truth of salvation by faith in Christ alone is completely foreign to them and, as they look on things, irrelevant. The spirit and doctrine of ecumenism have blinded millions into thinking “everything is fine.”

Remember, anything that is contrary to the Scriptures does not find any favor with God. Don’t play “patty-cake” with a movement which is against God’s Word and His will. God does not need unscriptural tools or movements in His plan of evangelism. What God is looking for is a dedicated child of His who is willing to do anything or go anywhere to reach lost souls with the gospel. By His grace, let us determine to be that person.

The great need of people today, including Protestants, is a clear understanding of the gospel. The main issue in witnessing to Protestants will be grace and works. To the Protestants who are liberal in their theology, you will also need to establish the fact that the Bible is the Word of God.

The founder of this group was Mary Baker Glover Patterson Eddy. She was born on July 16, 1821, in Bow, New Hampshire, and was the youngest of six children. She was raised in a family of strict Calvinism but was never won to this belief herself. Her health was very poor; it interrupted her formal education. She was a semi-invalid for years.
George Glover, whom she married in 1843, was the first of her three husbands. In less than a year after their marriage he died, leaving her with an unborn child. Later, after the death of her mother and remarriage of her father, she married Daniel Patterson. Patterson was captured and imprisoned during the Civil War. When he returned, he ran off with a neighbor’s wife. Eventually he and Mary were divorced. During all these years she constantly suffered from one thing or another.
While still married to Patterson, Mary heard of Phineas Quimby, who supposedly cured people without the use of medicines. She went to see Quimby when she was 41 years old, and during several weeks at his Portland, Maine, office she received relief which she attributed to God working through Quimby. Quimby denied, however, that God had anything to do with it or that he had any special healing powers.
Mr. Quimby died in 1866 when Mary was 45 years old. Mary Baker Patterson began to portray herself as a healer from this time on. Shortly after Quimby’s death she fell on an icy street and injured herself. She claimed that the doctor who examined her injury declared it to be fatal (though the physician’s own testimony later on denied this). Some friends came to visit her before her supposedly impending death. She had them all leave the room while she read Matthew 9. While reading this portion of Scripture she was immediately and completely healed (so she said).
She began a school to teach others to heal, charging from $100 to $300 for a course lasting three weeks. During this time, too, she worked on her book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which later became the textbook for the cult. When the book was ready for publication, she had to get the help of her followers to print it for no Boston publisher would.
She was married the third time to Asa G. Eddy. In 1878 she organized and pastored the First Church of Christ Scientist with 26 members. During this period Mr. Eddy died of a bad heart. However, Mrs. Eddy declared he had died by “arsenic poison mentally administered” by their enemies.
Her later life was filled with sickness and nervousness. She died in 1910. Even though she claimed not to believe in the reality of death, she had to keep that appointment which God says every man must keep (Hebrews 9:27).
Christian Science Doctrine Contrasted With The Word Of God, The Bible
“Genesis 2:7. Is this addition to His creation real or unreal? Is it the truth, or is it a lie concerning man and God? IT MUST BE A LIE, for God presently curses the ground” (Science and Health, p. 524).
“The second chapter of Genesis CONTAINS A STATEMENT of this material view of God and the universe, a statement WHICH IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF SCIENTIFIC TRUTH…” (ibid., p. 521).
“ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God…” (2 Timothy 3:16).
“In hope of eternal life, which GOD, THAT CANNOT LIE, promised before the world began” (Titus 1:2).
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35).
Christ’S Death For Sin
“One sacrifice, however great, is insufficient to pay the debt of sin” (Science and Health, p. 23).
“That God’s wrath should be vented upon His beloved Son, is divinely unnatural” (ibid., p. 23).
“The material blood of Jesus was no more efficacious to cleanse from sin when it was shed upon ‘the accursed tree’ than when it was flowing in his veins as he went daily about his Father’s business” (ibid., p. 25).
“For BY ONE OFFERING He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified” (Hebrews 10:14).
“In whom we have REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7).
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD HATH LAID ON HIM the iniquity of us all… it PLEASED THE LORD to bruise Him” (Isaiah 53:6, 10).
Sin
“Man is incapable of sin, sickness, and death” (Science and Health, p. 475).
“To put down the claim of sin, you must detect it, remove the mask, point out the illusion, and thus get the victory over sin and so prove its unreality” (ibid., p. 447).
“For ALL HAVE SINNED, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
“For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and SINNETH NOT” (Ecclesiastes 7:20).
The Person Of Jesus Christ
“The virgin-mother conceived this idea of God, and gave to her ideal the name of Jesus—that is, Joshua, or Saviour” (Science and Health, p. 29).
“Jesus was the offspring of Mary’s self-conscious communion with God” (ibid., pp. 29, 30).
The angel, not Mary, said, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a SAVIOUR, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).
“And Paul… reasoned with them out of the Scriptures, opening and alleging that Christ must needs have suffered and risen again from the dead; and that THIS JESUS, whom I preach unto you, IS CHRIST” (Acts 17:2, 3).
“… for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost… Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His Name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US” (Matthew 1:20, 22, 23).
“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb (not in her mind), and bring forth a son, and shalt call His Name Jesus” (Luke 1:31).
Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God CREATED the heaven and the earth.” Notice it doesn’t say God IS the heaven and the earth—but He created it.
Isaiah 59:2, “Your iniquities have SEPARATED between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you…” Again, the truth that God is SEPARATE FROM His creation.
Numbers 23:19, “God is NOT A MAN, that He should lie…” Man lies; God does not. No thinking person really believes God is EVERYTHING!

Unity was founded in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1889 by Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. At the time, the Fillmores were almost penniless; Charles suffered from numerous ailments, including a withered leg (the result of a childhood skating accident); Mrs. Fillmore had tuberculosis.
They heard a Dr. Weeks speak on “New Thought.” After the lecture Mrs. Fillmore reasoned that since we are all children of God (error), there must be a fixed divine law operating in her life. If she had faith in this law, surely all the negative things of life, like sickness and poverty, would vanish.
After this “discovery” the couple improved in health and financial status. They felt their theory had been proven. In 1889 they decided to devote the rest of their lives to spreading the gospel of their “discovery.” Thus “The Unity School of Christianity” began.
Doctrines Of Unity And The Truth From The Scriptures
(1) Reincarnation of man. Hebrews 9:27; Romans 5:12; Hebrews 10:30, 31.
(2) God never performs miracles. John 2:1-11; John 6:2; Acts 2:22; Acts 15:12.
(3) Man is part of God. We may all be like Christ now. Isaiah 53:6; Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:10-18, 23; Numbers 23:19.
(4) There is no evil. Genesis 6:5; John 8:39-45.
(5) Heaven and hell are states of mind. John 14:1-3; 2 Corinthians 5:1, 2; Jude, verse 7; Matthew 25:41.
(6) Pain, sickness, poverty, old age, and death are not real. Hebrews 9:27; Romans 5:17, 18; Romans 8:18-23; Matthew 4:23, 24.
(7) The entire Bible is allegory. John 17:17; Psalm 19:9-11; Psalm 119:128, 142.
With such people as these, keep Paul’s instructions to servants of the Lord in mind: “The servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt (able) to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves” (2 Timothy 2:24, 25).

God’s Word has proven over and over again to be true! Nowhere does the Holy Bible discredit itself. But the Bible itself is not its only proof of validity. History has reaffirmed the fact that the Word of God is actually true. Through the avenues of science, we can see the validity of the Holy Bible, KJV.
In the Bible we find, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Galatians 6:7 & 8
Real life experience also vindicates the Word of God.
Max Jukes, the atheist, lived a godless life. He married an ungodly girl, and from this union there were 310 who died as paupers, 150 were criminals, 7 were murderers, 100 were drunkards, and over half the of the women were prostitutes. His 540 descendants cost the Stats one and a quarter million dollars. (This was over a 100 years ago.)
But, praise the Lord, it works both ways! There is a record of a great American man of God, Jonathan Edwards. He lived at the same time as Max Jukes, but he married a godly girl. An investigation was made of the 1397 known descendants of Jonathan Edwards of which 13 became college presidents, 65 college professors, 3 United States senators, 30 judges, 100 lawyers, 60 physicians, 75 army and navy officers, 100 preachers and missionaries, 60 authors of prominence, one a vice president of the United States, 80 became public officials in other capacities, 295 college graduates, among whom were governors of the state and ministers to foreign countries. His descendants did not cost the state a penny.

“The memory of the just is blessed; but the name
of the wicked shall rot.” Proverbs 10:07

If one were to ask you a simple question, would you be able to give an explicit answer?  It seems our lives are built around answers to the questions of life or at least the seeking out of those answers aren’t as easily recognized as the questions are.

To the teenager, the question seems to be “What are you going to become in life?”  However, their question to mom and dad is usually, “Why can’t I?” To the parent the question most often seems to be “Why doesn’t he or she do as I wish them to?”  The bankers question, “When are you going to be able to meet the obligation?”  Then the teacher might ask, “Why won’t they just listen?”  And of course we can’t overlook the traveler’s question, “Are we there, yet?”

Yes, life has many questions, and with each question there seems to be different and sundry answers when in actuality there is only one true answer to each question.  By the way, here is quite a question, “What is most important to you?”  Jesus asked that question to several individuals and the answers cane back in various forms.  Most told the Master that it was the immediate.  However, the immediate is only temporal and will pass. Others said it was the future but knew not what the future helf for them.

The most important question: “What have you done with Jesus today?”

I have added a little widget to the lower right of the site.  This widget will show blogs that make post about My Fathers Work.  There are currently two websites that are listed in this widget, and others will be included thru an automatic process when the post are listed to a blog.

As google searches the web, and notices the post, the post will be included into the widget found on the site here.  There is currently six websites that are using the My Fathers Work Widget box on there website.  However, these sites are not automatically included within the blog search because they have not made an actual post on the website and the widget only searches for post.  These websites would be included if there was a simple, basic post stating that the myfathers work widget was added to there site.

God is unchangeable. God’s word is unchangeable too. In Matthew 24:35, the Lord Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
Why then are we so ready to accept changes to God’s word in the form of different Bible versions? The Authorized King James text has faithfully served the body of Christ for almost 400 years. During this time, and during its translation, Satan has viciously and relentlessly attacked it. I now hear Christians attacking it too! I’ve heard preachers and lay people say things like, “it’s too hard to read” or “it doesn’t properly reflect the true meaning of the original Greek”. The issue about the original Greek sets my teeth on edge–which Greek? There are Greek manuscripts galore, including the corrupted manuscripts that the Roman Catholic religion uses. The snide remarks and attacks against this utterly reliable text are unfounded.
We must remember that the Bible is a spiritual book and is understandable to those who are led by God’s Spirit. It is not possible for the natural man to understand it [I Corinthians 2:14], hence paraphrasing or simplifying it will do no good. The Bible is not supposed to read like a fairy tale–Peter said, “for we have not followed cunningly devised fables” [II Peter 1:16]. The words of the Authorized King James are not laborious to me, they are beautiful and full of God’s power. Even the world knows it–the Authorized King James has been listed on Norton Anthology’s list of “the world’s best literature” for decades.
The new versions have come up with some dangerous changes to the scriptures. The Lord God gives us stern warnings about changing His Word,
Revelation 22:18-19, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Proverbs 30:5-6, Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Look at this change in the NIV:
John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son…
The authorized King James says,
John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son.
In this instance, the NIV changes the scriptures by saying that Jesus is God’s “one and only” Son instead of His only begotten Son. This change causes a contradiction in the word of God because God has more than one son according to both the King James (Genesis 6:2, Job 1:6, John 1:12) and NIV (Genesis 6:2).
I do not buy the line that the inerrant word of God is found only in the originals– which nobody has. I know that God has the power to preserve His word and that he wouldn’t leave us out in the dark with an “imperfect” translation. In the authorized King James Version God assembled, and moved with His Spirit, a team of some of the world’s best scholars to translate His word into the world’s most popular language, English.
The complete translator’s notes of the Authorized King James scholars are not included in today’s publishings. This is unfortunate because these notes say a lot about these men– they were humble, loved the word of God, loved the King, were berated by the Catholic religion, and they desired a translation for the common man who was kept in darkness. Some of the translators where killed for their faith. This book was forged in blood, sweat, and tears.
I’ve heard folks make a big to-do about the italics in the Authorized KJV. Well, unlike many of today’s translators, the authorized KJV translators let us know which words they had to add in translating in order to give the full meaning of the original text (these are the words in italics in the KJV). Other translators have added words too–but they don’t tell you what they’ve added. I speak a little Spanish and know that it is oftentimes necessary to rearrange or add words so that the translation makes sense. These men went through the extra trouble of identifying which words they added. That’s real scholarship and integrity.
Let’s fall in love with the Authorized KJV again and stand on it. Let’s get down to business and read the Word and stop spending so much time reading what others have to say about the Word in commentaries, Greek lexicons, study bibles, etc. We want the Holy Ghost to talk to us.
How many classes have you been in where every student has a different textbook? None. It just doesn’t make good sense on a very practical level. We all need to be on the same sheet of music so that we are in harmony. Let’s us not confuse our kids by teaching/preaching from the NKJV, NIV, NASV, LB, the Message, Phillips, GN, etc.
Let’s not accept the premise that the tried and true Authorized King James is somehow outdated and is to be replaced by dozens of new translations. A standard test determined the Authorized KJV reading level to be 5th grade because it contains mostly one and two-syllablic words making it one of the easiest to read. People have been getting saved by reading it for a long, long time. We know that it contains the Word of life whereby we live and grow.
Satan knows that in a generation we won’t uniformly quote the scriptures. Imagine ten people with ten different translations trying to recite a psalm together. Confusion. Satan knows that many newborn babes in Christ will not have the real milk that they need in order to grow because they’ll have a watered down version of the truth. He figures that if he can’t kill the babes, he’ll do the next best thing-stunt their growth. At the same time the world will point to Christianity and say, “They don’t even have a definitive word of God. Anybody can write a Bible.” They already say that the Bible was “just written by men”.
Being able to talk to a child of God and have our spirits commune on the parts of God’s word that we’ve memorized is great. I now find people who are quoting scriptures that I know, but they are worded so differently that I have to ask the reference. This is confusion, and we know who authors confusion, the enemy of our souls, the Devil. I believe that the emergence of these many different “Bible” versions is Satan’s most successful attempt to attack God’s word. The Bible says that in the last days there’s going to be a falling away of the church and I believe that these other versions are helping to usher it along.

When men in the streets are afraid to open their mouths and utter godless words lest the judgments of God should fall; when sinners, overawed by the Presence of God tremble in the streets and cry for mercy; when, without special meetings and sensational advertising, the Holy Ghost sweeps across cities and towns in Supernatural Power and holds men in the grip of terrifying Conviction; when “every shop becomes a pulpit; every heart an altar; every home a sanctuary” and people walk softly before God, this is Revival!

Today the word Revival has largely lost its real meaning. Our present generation, never having witnessed the mighty movings of God in nation-wide spiritual awakening such as has taken place in past generations, has little conception of the magnitude of such a “visitation.”

Heaven-sent revival is not religious entertainment, where crowds gather to hear outstanding preachers and musical programs; neither is it the result of sensational advertising - in a God-sent revival you don’t spend money on advertising ; people come because Revival is there! Revival is an “awareness of God’ that grips the whole community, and the roadside, the tavern, as well as the church, become the places where men find Christ.

Here is the vast difference between our modern evangelistic campaigns and true revival. In the former, hundreds may be brought to a knowledge of Christ and churches experience seasons of blessings, but as far as the community is concerned little impact is made; the taverns, dance halls, and movies are still crowded, and the godlessness marches on. In revival, the Spirit of God, like a cleansing flame, sweeps through the community. Divine conviction grips people everywhere; the strongholds of the devil tremble, and many close their doors, while multitudes turn to Christ!

Jay Leno wrote this; it’s the Jay Leno we don’t often see….
“The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true, given the source, right?
The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed, and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence, 2/3’s of the citizenry just ain’t happy and want a change.
So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ”What are we so unhappy about?”
Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?
Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?
Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time, and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?
Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state?
Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?
I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough.
Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provides services to help all, and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.
Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family and your belongings.
Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.
This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers own cell phones and computers.
How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?
Maybe that is what has 67 percent of you folks unhappy.
Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don’t have , and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.
I know, I know. What about the President who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The President who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same President who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The President that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks?
The Commander-In Chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me? Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn’t take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?
Think about it …are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the “Media” told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful back-side every day.
Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn’t have to go.
They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ”general” discharge, an ”other than honorable” discharge or, worst case scenario, a ”dishonorable’ ‘ discharge after a few days in the brig.
So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans? Say what you want, but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds, it leads; and they specialize in bad news Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions by “justifying” them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about “how he didn’t kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way”…Insane!
Stop buying the negativism you are fed everyday by the media. Shut off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad.
We are among the most blessed people on Earth, and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.
“With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, “Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?”

Abraham, the biblical father of the Jews, received this promise from God in the book of Genesis: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”, and “Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates”
One week before Katrina made landfall, Israel carried out the evacuation of 9,500 residents from Gush Katif and four Samaria communities. Residents were forced from their homes by Israeli troops, some dragged away kicking and screaming and placed on buses that took them from the area. The majority of former Katif residents are currently homeless while the Israeli government struggles to find permanent housing solutions.
The Gaza withdrawal was backed by the U.S. government. Some Middle East analysts and senior Israeli politicians entirely attributed the evacuation plan to pressure coming from the American establishment. “I welcome the disengagement plan,” stated Bush immediately following the announcement of the Gaza evacuation. “These steps will mark real progress toward realizing the vision I set forth in June 2002 of two states living side by side in peace and security.”
Now, the eerie similarities between Katrina and the evacuation of Gush Katif, including parallels in events, names and numbers:

  • Close to 10,000 Jews were expelled from their homes in the Gaza Strip and parts of northern Samaria. Katrina’s death toll was expected to be at least 10,000.
  • America’s population ratio to Israel is about 50:1. Ten thousand Jews who lost their Gaza homes is the equivalent of about 500,000 Americans who are now reported to be displaced as result of Katrina.
  • Gaza’s Jewish communities were located in Israel’s southern coastal region; America’s southern coastal region now lies in ruins.
  • The U.S. government called on Louisiana residents to evacuate their homes ahead of the storm. The Israeli government, backed by statements from U.S. officials, demanded Gaza residents evacuates their homes.
  • Katrina, written in Hebrew, has a numerical equivalent of 374, according to a biblical numbering system upheld by all traditional Jewish authorities. Two relevant passages in the Torah share the exact numerical equivalent: “They have done you evil” (Gen. 50:17) and “The sea upon land” (Exodus 14:15).
  • Bush, from Texas, and Rice, from Alabama, were the most vocal U.S. backers of the Gaza evacuation. Hurricane Katrina hit the states in between Texas and Alabama? Louisiana and Mississippi.
  • Similarity in scenes: Many residents of Jewish Gaza climbed to their rooftops to escape the threat of expulsion, while residents of the Gulf Coast climbed on their own rooftops to protect themselves from the rising waters. Jewish Gaza homes described as beautiful and charming were demolished this week by Israel’s military. Once beautiful homes in New Orleans now lie in ruins.
  • The day Katrina hit, Israel began carrying out what was termed the most controversial aspect of the Gaza withdrawal? The uprooting of bodies from the area’s Jewish cemetery. There have been media reports of corpses floating around in flooded New Orleans regions.
  • Citizens of Israel were barred from entering Gush Katif; people were only allowed to leave Jewish Gaza. As Katrina was making landfall U.S. authorities barred citizens from entering the affected areas. People were only allowed out.
  • Gush Katif was an important agricultural area for Israel, providing the Jewish state with 70 percent of its produce. A New Orleans port that exported much of the Midwest’s agricultural production was destroyed by Katrina.
  • It Would do us well to Leave The Jews ALONE!

Starting this week I will begin to have the weekly notes from the preachers desk passed along to the site. You might ask why one would do this, and really it has a good reason.

I take time to read them each and every week to see what he might have come up with to share in such a small post. Each weak I learn something new, or look at a passage of scripture different than I have ever seen it before. In doing so I figured that I would pass it along to the viewers of the site so that each of you can benefit from this same little blurb. The post are not real long, because he has a limited space in which to write the original. However, they pack a good message with them. I would encourage you all to read them, and apply them to your life.

A boy was sitting on a park bench with one hand resting on an open Bible. He was loudly exclaiming his praise to God. “Hallelujah! Hallelujah! God is great!” he yelled without worrying whether anyone heard him or not. Shortly after, a man came along who had recently completed some studies at a local university. Feeling himself very enlightened in the ways of truth and very eager to show this enlightenment, he asked the boy about the source of his joy.

“Hey” asked the boy in return with a bright laugh, “Don’t you have any idea what God is able to do? I just read that God opened up the waves of the Red Sea and led the whole nation of Israel right through the middle.” The enlightened man laughed lightly, sat down next to the boy and began to try to open his eyes to the “realities” of the miracles of the Bible. “That can all be very easily explained. Modern scholarship has shown that the Red Sea in that area was only 10-inches deep at that time. It was no problem for the Israelites to wade across.”

The boy was stumped. His eyes wandered from the man back to the Bible lying open in his lap. Content that he had enlightened a poor, naive young person to the finer points of scientific insight, he turned to go his way. Scarcely had he taken two steps when the boy began to rejoice and praise God louder than ever before. The man returned to ask the reason for this resumed jubilation. “Wow!” exclaimed the boy happily, “God is greater than I thought! Not only did He lead the whole nation of Israel through the Red Sea, He topped it off by drowning the whole Egyptian army in 10-inches of water!”

I would like to start out by saying THANK YOU to all of you that have been giving us your prayers. We can always use prayer with each and everything we do, because prayer is what get’s us thru all the time. I don’t always have all the answers, but I know the one that holds tomorrow in his hands. When I talk to God I am able to see what steps to do next. Some times he will show me more of the plan than others, but I still get the picture of which way to go next

I don’t always understand the reason behind things, nor could I probably handle the true answers if I asked and got the answer. Never the less I can see God working Each and every day in my life, to get my family where we need to be for him. We have got the road map started, but we don’t have an ending to it. We are not sure how much of the map will be shown before we get to leave the starting point, but we will just keep praying about it and let you all know as it comes available.

There are many untold stories about this mission that we have not shared with anyone, that we must cross to get to the next point, and God is working these things right out in front of us, and it is amazing to be able to see his hand working in our lives. There is a number of things that still need to be put into play, and a couple other things that have to happen before we can leave down that map that is being created. I know that these things have to be done first because God would not have us leave anything undone to the point that it would mistreat others in our leaving this area.

We will continue to steadfast in this regardless of what waves come in, or how many tides hit the shores. We will continue to pray that Gods will be done in our lives, and ask that you would do the same. My hope is that we will be able to do great things for the Lord here and Gods light shine thru us in the community before we ever depart from here.

As the month draws to the end, we prepare for the next, in hopes that each passing month only gets larger and stronger. I would like to ask you to keep us in your prayers as you go thru out your days, and we will keep you in ours just the same. If you would like to have us praying for you or anyone else, simply fill out and submit the form on the prayer request page. We do not collect or share information that is shared with us, we use it to post your request and nothing more.

Thank You and God Bless
